Video Game Collabo?

Posted by Rorrapalooza - November 19th, 2019

HEY! I made this beastly track and every time I show it to somebody they say it should be in a dungeon or boss level in a video game. Can someone help me make that a reality?

Hey man, unfortunately too busy to make games these days but maybe you could put a notice here: https://www.newgrounds.com/collabinate

There's the collab forum too. Might be someone actually looking for just this track right now.

Or just let time be, and some day someone might find it and use it for just that purpose. :P Lot of competition out there though...

Oh btw Basement Jaxx are the shit too! :D Curious if you'd actually been listening to them recently when you made this? Maybe just subconscious inspirations?

It's weird, because the first time I ever heard Basement Jaxx was in a video game (SSX 3, "Do Your Thang") but I never really checked them out and listened to their discography until earlier this year. I made this beat in 2017, so it's probably not related either consciously or subconsciously, but the moment you made the comparison I thought "Oh helllll yeah, I can totally see that!" I definitely want to do more production along those lines, they have so many quirky sounds that you might only hear once per song, but nothing sounds out of place. Super cool.

Maybe you'd actually heard this one song somewhere even earlier though. :) As far as I know it's their most well-known one. If not though, man, that's some pretty weird coincidence!

I gotta listen to more of their stuff. That's the only one that really comes to mind right now.
